If the sneaker game were an automobile, the 'True Blue' Retro 3 would be that object in the mirror that is closer than it appears. We've been counting down to the release of the 'True Blues' for several months now, but a release date scheduled two weeks from Saturday is approaching a lot faster that we realized. Prior to the highly anticipated drop, here's another detailed look at the shoes on everybody's radar.
The reaction toward the quality of materials used on this year's Retro 3 releases has generally been positive, and the 'True Blues' seem to follow that same path. Tumbled white leather is used on the uppers, complimented by cement grey elephant print leather rands wrapped around the heel and toe. True Blue accents the look on the inner liner, middle eyelets and midsole, while red touches up the tongue branding, lower eyelets and sections of the outsole.
